This partnership targets customers with no minimum order requirements in India, Australia and New Zealand
Sydney, 18 January 2010 – Premier Farnell, the leading multi-channel, high service distributor supporting millions of engineers and purchasing professionals worldwide, and ON Semiconductor (Nasdaq: ONNN), a premier supplier of high performance, energy efficient, silicon solutions for a greener world, today announced the expansion of their existing distribution of ON Semiconductor’s wide range of products and solutions into India, Australia and New Zealand. Premier Farnell will continue engagement for ON Semiconductor in the Americas and EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa).
By extending its existing franchise with Premier Farnell’s high-service, low-volume distribution network, ON Semiconductor ensures that its customers in these markets have fast access to its high performance, energy efficient, silicon solutions. Premier Farnell will hold more than 4,000 components in stock for same-day despatch with no minimum order requirement (MOQ) while offering up to 21,000 ON Semiconductor products.
Premier Farnell is committed to providing prompt and efficient delivery as well as technical support for ON Semiconductor’s broad portfolio in India, Australia and New Zealand. This commitment extends to electronic design engineers working on prototypes or design starts in market segments such as computing, consumer, wireless, automotive, lighting, medical, industrial and communications.
Among the products that Premier Farnell will distribute, are ON Semiconductor’s GreenPoint® reference designs for LED lighting applications that incorporate the company’s NCP3065 switching regulator and the NCP1014 switcher IC. These reference designs will speed up and simplify the development of high-efficiency LED-based lighting applications as they contain the essentials needed to create a complete solution to meet evolving energy efficiency standards.
