The Times Top 50 Where Women Want to Work
Where Women Want to Work Premier Farnell has been recognised as one of the top 50 places Where Women Want to Work in the UK. The list, announced in The Times, recognises companies with programmes that attract, retain and develop top female talent.

At Premier Farnell we are proud to be recognised as a place Where Women Want to Work. Yet, we are even more proud of all our programmes that are not only attracting top female talent, but all top talented performers right around the world.

CorpComms Awards 2007
Awards Image Winners of the CorpComms Award for the Best use of new media as part of a communications strategy. The Award was for the "Power Within" Kick Off meetings right across the company. The experience powerfully launched employees into the new financial year, making sure they were aligned and each knew their part. The judges were impressed by the global nature of the project, all countries, multiple languages and commented that it was a "great platform for future communications".

The CorpComms Awards honour excellence in corporate communications. The awards recognise public and private sector individuals and organisations in categories that span the discipline. CorpComms magazine hosts the annual awards event as well as several other events throughout the year, including the CorpComms 100.

NEDA (National Electronic Distributors Association)
NEDA Awards At the NEDA Executive Conference in Chicago on November 5th 2007, Newark, part of the Premier Farnell Group, received a record 25 Channel Marketing Awards including NEDA’s first ever “Best in Show” award. This outstanding achievement includes 7 Platinum Excellence awards and 17 Gold Achievement awards for the quality and effectiveness of its marketing communications including their newsletter supporting design engineers, the Company web site and the Live Edge global environmental design challenge. Over the last 5 years Newark has won 57 of the NEDA Awards, more than any other distributor.

We are delighted to report that five Premier Farnell companies qualified for the US National Safety Council Occupational Safety Excellence Awards. These awards recognized exemplary safety records at Newark, MCM, Akron Brass, TPC Wire & Cable and Cadillac Electric sites.

We remain a member of the FTSE4Good Index of Corporate and Social Responsibility. We are also among a small number of companies that have participated in the Business in the Environment regional survey of Corporate Environmental Engagement every year since its inception and shown continual progress, increasing our overall score by 5.0% in the latest survey.
