 Premier Farnell has launched a campaign to raise funds to help survivors of the 12th of May earthquake in ChinaPremier Electronics, Premier Farnell's Chinese business that has operations in the region affected by the recent earthquake, will be donating a portion of its web revenue from its Mandarin website to relief efforts. The Premier Electronics facility is undamaged and all employees are safe, but as a responsible corporate citizen, Premier Electronics is working with the local community to find ways that it can contribute and assist in efforts to rebuild the area. In addition, Premier Farnell will match donations received by its global employees to designated charities, including CCTF (China Children and Teenagers' Fund) that are helping with the earthquake relief efforts.  The journey continuesHarriet Green became CEO of Premier Farnell in April 2006 and began a journey to transform the business through a simple strategy focused on delivering consistent, profitable growth. Later that year she commenced a strategic review of the business, involving employees from right across the organisation and the result was a 3 year plan to transform the organisation through focusing on the needs of electronic design engineers globally, driving business via the web, internationalising the Premier Farnell business model into new and emerging markets and continuing to support the needs of the maintenance and repair segment.
