Formed in 1996, Premier Farnell plc is a global, business-to-business, small order, high service distributor of electronic components and industrial products to the design, maintenance and engineering sectors.
Premier Farnell operates in 24 countries and trades in over 100, with approximately 4,100 employees worldwide. Companies within the Premier Farnell Group include Farnell, Newark, CPC, Premier Electronics, Farnell-Newark, MCM, Akron Brass, and TPC Wire & Cable.
Premier Farnell is listed on the London Stock Exchange. The Group recorded an operating profit for the financial year ended 3rd February 2008 of £88.0 million on sales of £744.7 million. The Group serves a customer-base of more than 2 million customer contracts worldwide.
