Awards 2009 Premier Farnell has recently received the following awards for our achievements in the field of corporate responsibility;
Business in the Community CR Index Our third year participation in the Business in the Community Corporate Responsibility Index yielded an increase in our score into the Gold band of companies. This brings us another step closer to achieving our target of Platinum by the end of the 2009 CR Index (published in 2010).
US National Safety Council In 2008, three Premier Farnell companies qualified for the US National Safety Council Occupational Safety Excellence Awards. These awards recognized exemplary safety records at Newark, MCM and TPC Wire & Cable.
FTSE4Good We were again listed in the FTSE4Good UK index for 2009, having been a member since its launch in July 2001. This index reflects the corporate responsibility performance of companies listed in the FTSE share index.
Business in the Environment The Business in the Environment regional index for Yorkshire and the Humber awarded Premier Farnell Platinum status for our commitment and success in reducing our environmental impacts, and engendering environmental stewardship practices amongst our staff, having participated since 1999. The Company was also awarded the regional Business in the Environment Long Term Achievement Award for our consistent improvement over three years up to 2009. |
